Craftway Racers is a fast-paced kid-friendly racing experience developed for Bradley University’s FUSE 2024 showcase with a team of 16 fellow sophomores; many of which came from other majors such as Game Art, User Experience, and Computer Science.
As one of four programmers, I was in charge of coding, implementing, and designing the car driven by the players. This task involved lots of code experimentation, iteration, and playtesting; firstly with Unity’s wheel colliders and then with homemade car physics to achieve a more arcade-like feel for the game. Much of my time was spent communicating with the game design team and demonstrating how to playtest the car and its properties efficiently.
