Granted immortality by a scheming demon, you must navigate through tough decisions in order to build the perfect civilization. Each time you rule, your kingdom will fall – it is up to you to take what you learn about governing forward into the next era!
This project is my Senior Game Capstone, where I worked with 15 other peers on developing a rogue-like real time strategy game in the Unreal Game Engine. Work started in the summer of 2025, where I and Marissa Moser programmed much of the basic functionality to make a prototype.
My Contributions and Responsibilities!
As a programmer with more Unreal Engine experience on the team, my responsibilities were twofold and equally important:
Develop important gameplay systems that other features would need, such as the game grid, placement system, and skill tree.
Assist the programming lead with the instruction and organization of other team programmers who were less familiar with Unreal, and review their work utilizing Github.
Additionally, much of my time was spent on “optimization hunting” in existing systems, debugging, and reviewing pull requests.
