ORBIT is an exciting 3D-puzzling experience, where players strategically draw and play cards from a deck to build a movement order, progressing turn by turn toward a finish square. This game offers an extensive variety of engaging levels to beat in a charming, low-stress-low-poly environment.
The ORBIT development team comprised of myself and eight team members, and took heavy inspiration from my previous game prototype, “Come Back To It.” Though ORBIT is still in development, we are aiming to have a highly polished game available on Steam or mobile by the end of the year. In the meantime, I can share a little about my contributions.
My role on ORBIT was Principle Gameplay Engineer, and I worked extensively on the main focus of ORBIT, our cute little sun-with-sunglasses character. I communicated with Systems Engineers to get the character to respond properly to player input in a clear, aesthetic, bug-free manner. By combining my knowledge of State Machines, coroutines, and the Unity Animator, I was able to create this character to our game designer’s exact specifications.
That’s all for now – I’ll regularly update this webpage with our progress within the coming months!
